A tune is a term used to describe the reading/calibration/ and rewriting of your vehicle’s powertrain control module.

This is done to be able to adjust the air to fuel ratio during idle, acceleration, cruise and wide open throttle to maximize the vehicle’s performance.

This mean’s we can read the calibration of your car with a laptop running windows os and HPTuners.

It also means we can see a cascade of different tables that control everything from air/fuel ratio, all the way up to things like timing, transmission shift time/torque management, and a whole lot more.
