Description
Venting crankcase pressure back through the intake can lead to oil vapors accumulating in your intake tube, manifold, and even diluting your fuel, lowering its octane. This is common in all engines, but worse in forced induction vehicles due to increased crankcase pressure.
To address this, J&L created a durable oil separator milled from billet aluminum, featuring a knurled base for easy removal and an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. It uses a fine mesh stainless steel screen to trap oil vapors, which then pass through a honeycomb filter, growing heavier and falling into the tank.
The 3 oz capacity is sufficient and draining it every 2,000-3,000 miles ensures it won’t fill up.
Features and Benefits
- 3oz Capacity
- Solid billet construction
- The multistage filter captures fine oil vapors, depositing them in the removable bottom, while letting clean air pass to the intake.
